The following course is already open for registration:Title: "Introduction to the Shell"Date: flexible (self-paced course)Registration linkTime to completion: 8 hoursPrerequisites: Alliance accountThis self-paced course describes how to run programs on supercomputers using the BASH shell. In addition to the basic BASH shell usage, globbing, regular expressions, redirection, pipes, and scripting will also be covered.A series of exercises and simple quiz questions are intermingled with the content. Many of the quizzes require completing the exercises, and all the quizzes have to be answered correctly to complete the course. There is no limit on how many times the quizzes can be attempted.The course was developed and is being maintained by SHARCNET staff Tyson Whitehead.
